I swear I heard James Brown do this song.... Anyway, this is the unforgettable Bass line to Wild Charry's "Play That Funky Music". This is a great song to begin your slapping technique on. It can be played strictly with finguring, or slapping, or both. Nothing but string strikes and hammer-ons. Now hit the > and Play That Funky Music.

I had a couple of people request that I pick apart the Bass line for Play That Funky Music. Here it is. There are only 2 main parts, 1 of them is done in E and G. This should be very easy to learn and can be played with either a slap or fingering. Have fun!
